Dark websites have always been a popular choice as black is the obvious choice to rebel against all those white websites that crowded the web in the early years. These days, white is used in a lot of more professional, corporate designs, so you could say that black is slightly more creative.

I like dark websites, but a big concern has always been readability. And everyone likes to point that out to me. But I personally think it can be done in the right way as long as you don't do pure white on pure black background.
