Halloween Design Contests- Don’t Miss Your Chance!

I thought it’s still early to write about Halloween…but it turned out to be that it’s even too late! Submission to most of Halloween design contests have been stopped today at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time…sad as it is, but Halloween is not the end of the world and many other contests are waiting for your creative works.
Some contests are still active, we tried to prepare a brief info below…

Guild Wars Halloween Art Contest

Create something (image, photo, desktop wallpaper, costume, decorate your home etc) with the Guild WarsВ® theme. Prizes are probably cool for the funs of Guild Wars but hard for me to judge If you would like to participate, you can get info here.

Sixth Annual World of Warcraft Pumpkin Carving Contest

The most creative, original, and well-designed pumpkins from the Warcraft, StarCraft, or Diablo game universes will be awarded with glittering prizes. They are accepting submissions between 12:00 a.m. PDT on October 8 and 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 28. The top (5) winning submissions to the Blizzard Pumpkin Carving Contest will win a pair of Logitech G51 customizable 5.1 gaming speakers designed specifically for gamers. The shutterbugs who submit the most outstanding photos of their work will have their pictures proudly displayed on WorldofWarcraft.com and Blizzard.com on Halloween. Judging will be done by the World of Warcraft team. Get more information here.

Autumn & Halloween Character Design Contest on Deviant Art.

You must design a character inspired by the Fall season or The Halloween Holiday. It may be any mammalian creature, that means canine, feline, human, whatever best suits your ideas. That also means, no reptiles, fish, insects, etc.В  I like the first prize- Three Month Subscription, and either a custom chibi and magnet package or a full body picture on your choice of special card stock. The dealine is on October 30, 2008. Get full contest info here.

Pumpkin Contest on www.worth1000.com

I like what they create and the rules are simple, you have to turn the simple pumpkin image into the work of out, basically that’s a Photoshop contest. Not sure of the prize, you need to be a registered member in order to participate (sorry, I’m lazy enough to register). Even if you are not registered, you can check the works by multiple participants here.

Carnival of Evil on Renderosity

Sad this one is about to end right now, winners could have submitted to one of the following categories:3D/Animation :: 2D/Photography :: Writing. The spookiest of submissions will win prizes totaling over $35,000! No further info in order not to cry about not being a participant!

Here’s the design brief: “We want to see what delightfully frightful items you’ve made and we have dozens of awesome prizes to give away!
