Today’s roundup focuses on the posts about mind-blowing HDR photography and before we start, let’s find out what it is.
Is camera enough to make a memorable shot? Even when your camera is superb and you are a professional photographer, pictures turn out to be dull and inexpressive. Sometimes they only grab certain scenes as they are, but lack certain impressive elements. HDR photography is never dull, it features everything in the stunning way and evokes the viewers’ emotions. HDR technology transforms the bleak sceneries into the expressive by means of adjusting the shadows and playing with the dark and light parts of the image. HDR photos display reality in some fantastic ways and make it more appealing and eye-catching.
You can dive in the colorful paradise of HDR photography while browsing this collection of fantastic photos that are created using this technique.

The world around us is a huge mirror that reflects itself. Some objects reflect the others and at the same time are reflected somewhere too. Mirrors, glasses, lakes and smooth surfaces reflect everything around them and create stunning visualizations of the trivial things. Actually, the reflected images are the same as the initial objects – they feature the same size, but face some other way. At the same time, when the surface is not flat, the reflected objects gain the unusual shapes and it is even hard to tell what image is reflected. Sometimes it is really captivating to observe the reflective photos that display the original curves and shapes.
Creative reflective photos from this collection capture the wonderful scenes of the world around us in all its diversity. Let’s browse them and enjoy their beauty!

Web design for the world
One of the joys of designing for the web is that your work has an immediate global audience. It’s exciting to think that your designs can be seen as easily half way round the world as in your own home town. As well as being an exciting aspect of the web, this global reach also poses a challenge to designers. You need to be aware that different cultures view and consume the web in different ways.
You can overcome these cultural differences and build more accessible websites by considering a few important factors.
Content is the most important element of any website. Your visitors may find elegant design pleasing to the eye, but what they are really interested in is the quality of the content and how useful it is to them.
Providing content which is well-written and relevant to your target audience will be a big help to ensure cross-cultural accessibility for your websites. Remember that 75% of the world’s population do not speak English as their first language. It’s likely that your content will need to be translated at some point. Developing good quality content from the outset will make for a smoother translation process. For example, try to avoid slang, colloquialisms and abbreviations. Metaphors may also have different meanings in different countries.
When using images, video and other visual content, always be culturally sensitive. For instance, photos of scantily dressed models may be perfectly acceptable in Western cultures, but may be highly offensive in other parts of the world.

Tilt-shift miniature faking is now the popular and fashionable method of making big objects look like tiny models. All you need to start is essentially a camera equipped with a tilt-shift lens which simulates a shallow depth of field. For this effect is usually achieved through creative technique in which a photographer manipulates the angle of a tilt-shift lens to distort the focus of a life-sized scene captured by the camera, thereby creating an illusive depth of field usually produced by macro lenses. Most faked tilt-shift photos are taken at quite good height to further imitate the effect of looking down on a miniature. In this post, we showcase a number of fantastic examples of tilt-shift photos. All examples are linked to their original sources and you’re recommended to check out other amazing works of their authors.
