The Wonderful World of Stereograms

Oliver Wendell Holmes has invented a stereoscope in 1831 and you may have guessed stereograms were invented right after that. According to Wikipedia “stereogram is a pair of two-dimensional panels depicting the view of a scene or an object from the vantage points of the right and left eyes”. The beginning of the computer era has brought stereograms of the new generation which were hiding original 3D image in some originally textured 2D image. I remember those days when we could find these stereograms on the pages of popular magazines, exercise books etc. Well, here is a brief of nostalgia for you – just some interesting stereograms from our childhood.
