I thought it’s still early to write about Halloween…but it turned out to be that it’s even too late! Submission to most of Halloween design contests have been stopped today at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time…sad as it is, but Halloween is not the end of the world and many other contests are waiting for your creative works.

In the earlier post DesignFloat has prepared the amazing collection of 31 Russian websites for inspiration, today we decided to pay our attention to the websites of British designers, illustrators, photographers. My first impression was, the websites are very simple ans minimalistic, I thought this would change once I review more websites, more portfolios, but no, it didn’t… No bright screaming colors, no shock, no excitement, just a pure simplicity and clarity. For me it was some kind of a relief and revelation, like a fresh air in the smoked room, like a glass of cold water in summer.

Evgeny Kiselev is a young Russian illustrator whose amazing website we have chosen among others for one of the previous posts- 31 Russian websites that can inspire you. He’s a 28 years old handsome young designer living in St. Petersburg and inspired by India and nature. How did you get into illustration design?

Saveanalien is a wonderful project anyone can enjoy, it makes you stupidly smile into your monitor and play with your alien, you can’t imagine what a feeling it is! It’s like your own baby and you want to take care about him.
Social networks have stolen part of our life in a good sense. In the office and at home we stumble, float, digg the websites and pages that we like, we share them with our family, friends and ?olleagues. Website developers are trying to push their websites into this community in order to get more visitors, more readers, more clients. On every other website now that is not keeping to the old traditions of marketing you will find the icons of the most popular social networks. It’s obvious that the more people like your website the higher is the possibility they will share it with community, vote for it and leave a review. So why not surprise your website visitors even a bit more with the cool social icon.
